SOUHRN
V předložené kazuistice je popisován případ chirurgického řešení inzulinomu u pětileté samice morčete,
komplikován konkurentní přítomností syndromu ovariálních cyst. Pacientka byla předvedena na
kliniku autorů v laterální poloze, inzulinom byl diagnostikován na základě tzv. Whippleovy triády
(hypoglykemie, neuroglykopenní záchvat reagující na aplikaci glukózy), jeho lokalizace byla potvrzena
sonograficky, řešením byla chirurgická nodulektomie spojená s kastrací. Pacientka na terapii zareagovala
návratem do euglykemického stavu, kontrola proběhla 1 a 8 dní a poté 6 měsíců po zákroku, kdy
pacientka nevykazovala žádné známky onemocnění, přijímala normálně potravu i vodu, bez obtíží
kálela i močila a byla aktivní.*
SUMMARY
This case report describes a surgical solution of insulinoma in a five-year-old female guinea pig,
complicated by the competitive presence of ovarian cyst syndrome. The patient was presented to the
authors´ clinic in a lateral position, the insulinoma was diagnosed on the base of the so-called
Whipple´s triad (hypoglycemia, glucose-responsive neuroglycopene attack) and its´ localisation was
confirmed sonographically. The solution consisted in surgical nodulectomy associated with castration.
The patient responded to the therapy by returning to the euglycemic stage, the control took place 1
and 8 days, and then 6 months after surgery, when the patient showed no signs of disease, received
food and water normally, hardened and urinated without any difficulty and was active.
