SOUHRN
Cílem tohoto článku je vysvětlení mechanismu méně používaných či se teprve vyvíjejících terapeutických metod a jejich praktického užití ve veterinární onkologii. Některé z těchto metod mohou majitelům mazlíčků nabídnout alternativu konvenční terapie a tím snížit invazivitu léčby, její cenu a v neposlední řadě ovlivnit i samotné rozhodnutí o podstoupení terapie. Článek je přehledně rozdělen na pět témat věnujících se jednotlivým terapeutickým procedurám, jejich mechanismu, indikaci a praktickému provedení – elektrochemoterapie, kryoterapie, brachyterapie, terapie retinoidy a fotodynamická terapie.
SUMMARY
The aim of this article is to elucidate the mechanism of less used or emerging therapeutic methods and their practical use in veterinary oncology. Some of these methods can offer pet owners an alternative of conventional therapy and thus reduce the invasiveness of therapy, its cost and last but not least influence the decision itself to undergo treatment. This study is clearly divided into five topics devoted to individual therapeutic procedures, their mechanism, indication and practical implementation – electrochemotherapy, cryotherapy, brachytherapy, retinoid therapy, and photodynamic therapy.*
