SOUHRN
Ascites je termín, který se používá pro nahromadění tekutiny v peritoneální dutině. Podle množství buněk, celkového proteinu a hustoty rozlišujeme různé typy tekutin. Nejčastěji bývá diagnostikován transudát, buď čistý, nebo modifikovaný, a exsudát. Klinické příznaky jsou nespecifické a je třeba hledat příčinu a podle toho se pak odvíjí následná terapie. Mezi nejčastější příčiny ascitu u koček patří FIP (felinní infekční peritonitida), srdeční selhání, onemocnění jater a slinivky.*
SUMMARY
Ascites is the term used for the accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity. According to the amount of cells, total protein and density are distinguished various type of fluids. The most frequently is diagnosed transudate, either pure or modified, and exudate. The clinical signs are non-specific and the cause has to be found, and following therapy is then developed accordingly. Among the most common cases of ascites in cats belong FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), heart failure, liver and pancreatic diseases.
