SOUHRN
Článek se věnuje problematice zdraví střev u drůbeže, zejména u brojlerových kuřat. Vysvětluje termín zdraví střev, popisuje jednotlivé složky zdraví střev–epiteliální buňky střeva, mikrobiotu a imunitní systém trávicího traktu. Rozebírá nutriční faktory s negativním vlivem na zdraví střev. Je uvedena střevní permeabilita a bariérová funkce střeva. V kontextu zdraví střev je specifikován význam kokcidiózy a nekrotické enteritidy. Jsou popsány zánětlivé fenotypy podílející se na poškození zdraví střev. Závěr článku je věnován aktuálním možnostem posouzení zdraví střev.*

SUMMARY
The article focuses on gut health in poultry, especially in broiler chickens. It explains the term gut health, describes the individual components of gut health - epithelial cells of the gut, microbiota and the immune system of the digestive tract. There are discussed nutritional factors with a negative impact on gut health. Intestinal permeability and the barrier function of the intestine are presented. The importance of coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis in the context of gut health is specified.
Inflammatory phenotypes involved in gut health impairment are described. The article concludes with a discussion of current options for assessing gut health.
