SOUHRN
Klasická chemoterapie je způsob antineoplastické léčby, zprostředkovaný podáváním cytostatik v chemoterapeutických schématech, odpovídající individuálním potřebám daného pacienta. Vzhledem k různorodosti onkologických onemocnění dochází k neustálému vývoji léčebných metod hledáním ideálních kombinací cytostatik, tak aby byla dosažena co nejvyšší účinnost podaných léčiv a současně byla zajištěna přijatelná kvalita života léčených pacientů. Pro navržení vhodného léčebného protokolu je nutná správná diagnostika onkologického onemocnění a pochopení principů chemoterapeutické léčby. Jedině to může vést k úspěšné léčbě pacienta.
SUMMARY
Classical chemotherapy is a method of antineoplastic treatment, mediated by the administration of cytostatics in chemotherapeutic regimes which correspond to the individual needs of the patient. Due to the diversity of oncological diseases, there is a continuous development of treatment methods involving the search for ideal combinations of cytostatics in order to achieve the highest efficacy of the administered drugs while ensuring an acceptable quality of life for the treated patients. A correct diagnosis of cancer and an understanding of the principles of chemotherapeutic treatment are necessary to design a suitable treatment protocol. Only this can lead to the successful treatment of the patient.
